Governing Council

The Confederation of Meningitis Organisations (CoMO) is governed by the Governing Council that consists of Full Members who have been elected to represent all CoMO members and co-opted members who have joined the Council to add strength to the group.

Governing Council members are elected by CoMO's membership at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). For those who have been co-opted to the Governing Coucil, their appointment is ratified by CoMO members at the AGM.

As at March 2011 there are 10 members sitting on the Council. Council members are elected to serve for two years, after which they can be re-nominated to serve up to a maximum of eight years. The officers can only serve for a maximum of two terms in the same office.
