Meningitis and septicaemia kill and disable thousands of children and adults each year. To reduce this burden of death and disability, CoMO is committed to the prevention of meningitis and septicaemia by vaccination.  Safe, effective vaccines are available now to protect against many common types of bacteria causing these diseases.

CoMO, in line with its members, advocates for global health efforts to ensure that meningitis and septicaemia are eliminated by vaccination and that these life saving vaccines are made available across the world, particularly to children and to vulnerable people.

CoMO is active in promoting World Meningitis Day and Joining Hands against Meningitis to raise awareness around the world.
