Supporting Our Members

Members of CoMO are united in their fight against meningitis, and, by working together, make a difference not only in their own countries but also globally.

One of the key priorities of CoMO is to ensure the sustainable development of meningitis organisations and patient groups.

Members of CoMO  have access to the expertise, knowledge and resources of each other, and, irrespective of size and length of time in existence, each organisation and patient group brings its own value to other members. Because of the range of organizations within CoMO, some of whom are much further advanced in their stage of development, there is a vast range of expertise from fund raising to communications and from family support to education.

CoMO facilitates mutual working between members by providing opportunities to meet at regional and global conferences and seminars as well as meeting within the regions by teleconference arranged by the regional leaders and via the members-only area of the website.

From time to time small grants have been available for mutual working. In 2008 CoMO helped 10 of its members to successfully complete their projects and in 2009 a further 10 members have received help.
