Meningitis has many “faces”. There are sufferers who blessedly have fully recovered from the physical effects of the disease, there are those who have been left with devastating after effects, and those who have tragically died.
There are also the families, friends, classmates and workmates of those who have contracted meningitis and who themselves have been traumatized by it. People who, despite all the tragedy which meningitis has brought them and their families, have thrown themselves into helping others – their faces are rarely seen and it is their stories that are told here.
