Established in 2002, this non-profit organisation works to help raise awareness about meningitis and help lower disease incidence among all levels of society. The organisation's members are comprised of health experts and people who have been directly affected by meningitis.

Instituto Pedro Arthur

Instituto Pedro Arthur was set up in 2006 by parents of Arthur that got meningitis in Minas Gerais State - Brazil. Instituto is a non- profit organization. They receive donations from companies, government (state of Minas Gerais). Even though they have been receiving strong support from government, the Instituto is not part of an academic institution. They managed to engage many companies to support their activities; they travel all the country to stress the importance of immunization and fight to have Brazil without any case of meningitis.
