Buddying

Members helping each other is central to the ethos of CoMO and the age-old concept of having a mentor or “buddy” to help is part of that.

Mentoring has two major objectives; to support the sustainable development of a new member and to help all members contribute to the achievement of CoMO's vision and mission, so having a buddy will:

  1. Ensure that new members can make the most of being a member of CoMO, gaining an understanding of the benefits and what is available
  2. Ensure that the needs of new members are understood and, where possible, supported by CoMO.
  3. Facilitate the sharing of knowledge, expertise and resources with other established members so that new members learn from those who have been  through the journey
  4. Encourage participation in CoMO-wide and multi-member activities
  5. Facilitate effective communication with other members

All new members are encouraged to have a buddy appointed when they join CoMO.
